Brian Ellsworth Attorney
I am a consumer protection lawyer. There are state and federal laws to protect your rights regarding debt collectors, credit reporting, deceptive trade practices and consumer fraud. The problem is very few people, even attorneys, know and understand these laws. My goal is to help people understand and enforce their consumer rights.
In addition to practicing law, I meet with Congress and Senators to advocate for consumer rights, appeared on the radio and at Clemson University to discuss student loan law, and was named a Super Lawyers Rising Star for Consumer Law in Minnesota in 2013 and 2014. Outside of law, I am a father, a husband, an avid Marquette Basketball fan, and training for triathlons.
How We Work
Get A Customized Solution
We take the time to explain your consumer rights so that you understand your options. Then, we’ll talk about your goals and put together a customized plan. After all, your situation is unique and you don’t deserve a cookie cutter approach.
Meet From Anywhere
You have the option of an in-person office visit, but we realize people are busy. We make it easy for you to work with us. You don’t need to take time away from work or family to travel to and from our office. Your confidential consultation can take place from the comfort of your home. We can meet over the phone or video conference. The technology exists to get work done without traveling to our office, so why bother with the inconvenience?
How We Get Paid
Most of our practice is performed on a contingency basis. That means we don’t charge you any up front fees. We only recover attorney fees if we obtain a judgment or settlement on your behalf.
For some cases we may charge a flat fee or hourly fee that can be set up on affordable payment plans.
There are lots of new apps for blocking and screening phone calls. Most of this stems from automatic dialing- allowing businesses to call you several times a day, every single day. We carry our cell phone with us all day, thus these calls can be very intrusive and disruptive. But, you don’t need a new(…)
